Writing on your phone is a good idea. I’ve never been successful, it feels super clunky and slow. Plus, most of the text editors I feel do a surprisingly poor job with spellcheck and grammar help that PC software does really well.
I can get it into it. I can channel the love I feel for my phone, but just work the addiction in my favour, I also feel like i read it more as a read on my phone. But the crack is always there on hand. I'm shit at spelling, but I don't think it holds me back as a writer. I don't think there one and the same. There just things I can't remember, I'm a creative. I sharn't be bounds by the cofines of words
The phone is a great resource for me to be able to quickly read things, look stuff up, jot down ideas. It definitely has its utility if used in the right ways.
It certainly does. But takes an unfair amount of self control. I like writing on it first thing when i wake up. Or if I wake up to early cos I'm stressed cos of work. I think I reclaim the day by writing on the phone
'To be phoneless today is to die loveless, childless, and friendless.' - that made me laugh out loud!! From one resigned Luddite to another, I recognise every syllable of this, a brilliant description of the sinking into the phone abyss we'll all frequent eventually. And despite being 'a late adopter' as my very 'early adopter' friend once described me (a very kind descriptor, I thought) I know that I will always eventually succumb to new tech, and also that I'll be forever one of the last to do so. T'will ever by thus. If only I could chill my brain, the one that always goes to the enth degree of how awful the repercussions of new tech could eventually be. Sigh!
We’ve all resigned to the addiction out of what we tell ourselves is a necessity
I try to program myself to write on my phone, but I go through phases

I find if i start the day off without looking at it, I'm fine. But as soon as I look at it once, it's game over
I’m on holiday so trying to take a break. But can still just watch YouTube at a lapse’s notice
That's a god dam super power!
